The Builder and the Feeler
One of you reaches for a plan. One of you is still in the wave.
How a Builder and a Feeler carry hard things together: where you’re good, where it rubs, and what to say.
Find out which you areAbout a minute of quick taps. Then send it to them.
Where you’re good together
The Feeler reminds the Builder why it all matters, and the Builder helps the Feeler turn a big feeling into one next step, once the wave has passed.
Where it rubs
The plan arrives mid-wave and feels like being told to calm down. The wave looks like a problem to solve.
What helps
The Builder’s job during the wave is water, a long exhale, and nothing else. The plan can wait an hour.
A Builder might say
“I’m not going to fix anything right now. I’m just here.”
A Feeler might say
“Give me a minute, then I’d love your plan.”
Loving each other
If you love a Builder
- If you just want them to listen, say so in words. They’ll switch gladly once they know.
- Tell them plainly when they’re running themselves into the ground. They won’t notice on their own.
If you love a Feeler
- Don’t tell them to calm down. Give them a minute, stay close, and talk once it has passed.
- If they cry or snap, it isn’t a verdict on you, and it won’t last. They’ll want to make it right.
