The Keeper and the Feeler
One of you feels it all at once. One of you feels it in private.
How a Keeper and a Feeler carry hard things together: where you’re good, where it rubs, and what to say.
Find out which you areAbout a minute of quick taps. Then send it to them.
Where you’re good together
The Feeler helps the Keeper put things into words, and the Keeper gives the Feeler a steady place to land.
Where it rubs
The wave reads as too much to the Keeper. The quiet reads as not caring to the Feeler.
What helps
The Feeler gets ninety seconds before any talking. The Keeper says one thing out loud after, instead of nothing.
A Keeper might say
“Give me a minute and I’ll say one true thing, I promise.”
A Feeler might say
“I’ll give it ninety seconds before I need to talk about it.”
Loving each other
If you love a Keeper
- "I’m fine" is often a reflex, not an answer. Ask once more, gently, and leave a pause.
- Don’t push for the whole story. Make it easy to say a little, and stay with it when they do.
If you love a Feeler
- Don’t tell them to calm down. Give them a minute, stay close, and talk once it has passed.
- If they cry or snap, it isn’t a verdict on you, and it won’t last. They’ll want to make it right.
